Other Packaged Food

Vancouver Croissant packaging

Vancouver Croissant’s philosophy is using organic and natural ingredients. Each package comes with 6 croissants. Nutrition fact and preparation instruction are clearly marked at the back of the box. It is hard to imagine that each of these small boxes is packed with 6 croissants.

Let it rise for 8 hours

The instruction tells us to evenly place the pre-made croissants and let them proof for 8 hours. I find it’s best to do over night to enjoy fresh croissant in the morning. Remember to cover these dough with a piece of damp cloth to stop skin from forming.

Applying egg wash

My home is filled with aroma of fresh croissant in the morning. The secret of beautiful color is the brushed egg wash. I only did one layer. It would’ve looked a lot nicer if I brush 2 layers. Make sure to brush a thin layer at a time so it doesn’t drop to the bottom of the croissant to make them stick to the bottom.

Cheese Croissant

I personally find that the Cheese Croissant from Vancouver Croissant is much better than their original croissants. When the original croissants can become a little dry after a few hours out of the oven, these Cheese Croissants can last for days while retaining much of its taste compared to freshly baked croissants. The cheese filling creates a large hole in the middle of the croissant, which is perfectly seasoned, and very cheesy.
