Summary

The meat was ground sirloin meat that is cooked to be slight pink on the inside and it is quite juicy. There were literally meat juice flowing down the side of the burger as I eat. The smoked bacon was sturdy, but could be a bit more crispy. I’m not a big fan of lettuce, tomato and pickles in my burger, but they do make the burger more interesting to eat.

Strength: Good craft beer selection. Acceptable

Weakness: Overpriced

Other Restaurant with Bar

Rogue is a restaurant focused on liquor

Rogue are among the ranks of Cactus club, Moxie’s, and Milestone. Compared to all these other franchise, Rogue seems to focus a little more on their liquor. Their craft beer selections are not as extensive as Craft Beer Market, but most of the franchise location are conveniently near transit.

Waitress greet you at the foyer

The foyer is a small space with a movable stand. At least one waitress would be here to greet you. The waitresses are typically young, but most of them are not friendly. Perhaps they received too many unwelcome harassment.

Cozy furniture and lighting

The furniture have wood finishes and the lighting are orange. These makes the space feels quite warm. At the same time, you can see many modern design elements in the space.

A large bar area with TV

Rogue’s dining room is divided in two. The area to the left is more for dining, and the seating to the right is focus on drinking close to the bar. I sat closer to the bar area, and my table is yellowish with back light. It actually feels like I was in a night club.

The famous rogue burger

My burger was served in white bun with sesame, with a knife stabbed in the bun. I guess to hold the burger in place. The burger looks like it’s falling apart with ingredients of different shape and thickness. It’s gonna be messy eating this.

$2 discount if ordered without fries

If I order the burger without fries, it becomes $15.99. I think the $2 was worth it for the amount of fries.

The burger is served with one side much higher than the other. I knew it was going to be messy to eat. Luckily Rogue was generous on the amount of napkins they gave out.

604 Food Critic Assessment

A burger meal at Rogue cost $18 and there is nothing extraordinary about it. It’s just an average gourmet burger slightly better than the White Spot. The only reason why anyone should come here for burger is if I need something to go with my drinks.
