Hot Pot

Fortune Lamb Dining, Chinese Restaurant on Kingsway Vancouver

Fortune Lamb Dining serves authentic Northern Chinese cuisine for $30 per person. Their food taste good but the food is expensive. This restaurant used to taste even better, but the quality of their food decreased as they got busy over the years. I would still recommend this restaurant, however I would be careful on what to order.

Micha Asian Fusion Kitchen

As soon as I walked in, it is evident the restaurant had been renovated. The front curve that direct customers towards the left have been replaced by two straight walls. This is a much more efficient use of space. The tables and chairs have also been changed from ugly, cheap (it was the theme before), and down to earth style to the Zen-like Japanese style decoration. The feature wall on the left has been kept. You cannot tell it's an old wall. Overall, it is a much appreciated transformation aesthetically.

Yuan’s Chuan Chuan Xiang Hot Pot, Skewers in Hot Pot

We ordered some skewers. They were $10 per 10, so $1 per skewer. When I bite into it, the meat doesn't break off easily. I think they were using the leftover part of the cow. The textures are not consistent. There are bits of pockets of meat among the webs of something really difficult to chew. I was not impressed.

Dolar Shop Richmond Hot Pot

Dolar shop has a very steep price point of $50-$60 per person. Their ingredients lived up to the name of Dolar, and their services are superb. The interior decor make you feel like a princess. Everything is awesome except the price. For people who does not have to worry about money, Dolar Shop is definitely the go-to place for personal hot pot. As for me, I would only come here to treat my parents or an important client. Awesome restaurant, but not recommended for monthly visit.

Wang Ga Ma (왕가 마), King of Korean Stew

It's very thick and cooked to just the right tenderness. I can feel my teeth breaking each muscle strand. It was very satisfying. We can verify the meat was cooked perfectly by biting the tissue around the bone. It only take one bite to break the link, and enjoy this entire meat. It's effortless. Very nicely done.
