Pho D’Lite, Vietnamese Restaurant
I am a firm believer that the pho special in a Vietnamese restaurant is the best indicator to see if the restaurant is good. The pho special usually have a bit of everything they offer. I would use this to find out which ingredient is better at this restaurant. The soup was very hot. It is perfect to cook rare meat. After cooked, the meat was quite tender. Other ingredients that are good include beef brisket and tripe.
Pho D’Lite is your typical Vietnamese pho restaurant. They serve vermicelli in a bowl of extremely hot soup with meat in it. You eat them with
Strength: Fast service, clean space.
Weakness: Typical pho place. Nothing special

Located right below Whole Food
Pho D’Lite is located right below the Whole Food market in Solo District. I have seen this place many times after shopping in Whole food. This is the first time I actually walked in.
Beautiful interior space compared to traditional pho restaurants
You can see the entire store as soon as you walk in. They have
Interesting feature wall and TV
There is a feature wall using Chinese blue and white porcelain to creates an interesting pattern. The light fixtures give this restaurant’s decoration a lot of depth.
Self Serve Condiment and Utensil
The staff brought us to our table immediately after we enter. These self serve utensils and condiments are typical to Vietnamese restaurants like Green water bottle is typical to Korena restaurants. There is no self-serve napkin box at the table. The menu arrived within 10 seconds after we sat down.
P1: Special with a bit of everything
I am a firm believer that the pho special in a Vietnamese restaurant is the best indicator to see if the restaurant is good. The pho special usually have a bit of everything they offer. I would use this to find out which ingredient is better at this restaurant.
The soup was very hot. It is perfect to cook rare meat. After cooked, the meat was quite tender. Other ingredients that are good include beef brisket and tripe.
P7: Beef brisket with meatball
If you don’t feel safe eating rare meat or innards,
It was obvious that these soup contains MSG.
Spring Rolls has crispy skin
The spring rolls look decently sized. They have crispy and flaky skin. I would bite into it and see pieces of the skins falling.
The inside is packed with filling. Lots of vermicelli and chopped vegetables with some ground pork. It has a reasonable meaty flavour. The order comes with a small bowl of fish sauce on the side for dipping. The sauce is not quite enough.
Chicken Wings are just okay
The chicken wings are served with sauteed garlic. They look quite dark, but the chicken wings are thoroughly cooked. The chicken wings tastes very buttery and it is very juicy inside. However, the skin texture is not consistent. Some parts are very tough. I was having trouble deciding how to bite into them. We mixed the seasoning with lime juice like we were taught in the Hanoi Old Quarter Restaurant. The texture of the sauce was not quite the same.
Vietnamese iced coffee
My iced coffee was not served while it’s dripping. It is served after it’s made. I have mixed feeling about this. Even though it feels less authentic, but I can appreciate the convenience. The coffee is thick and sweet. It definitely gave me an energy boost.
604 Food Critic Assessment
Pho D’Lite is a conventional Vietnamese pho restaurant in a contemporary setting. The space is clean. Some may even say “modern”. I am happy to see them serving soup that are hot enough to cook rare meat. The pho is not the best, but taste pretty good. For $15 per person, Pho D’Lite is a good restaurant to go to get your quick bowl of pho.
