Martini’s Restaurant
Martini’s is a bar-restaurant. They have been around for a long time. To be honest, this was my first visit. I was a little shocked at their operation. The food is definitely above average bar-restaurant. The drinks selection is not as wide as most craft beer places. However, they are solid on the price, service, and atmosphere. It is no coincident that Martini’s is still one of people’s go-to bar. Definitely recommended, especially on Wednesdays.
Martini’s Restaurant is a cozy restaurant with a bar. There is a small patio right off the street if you’d like to enjoy the sun and traffic watching. They have been around for a long while and still striving because they keep up with the beer trend while offering comparable pricing. The food is always amazing here too. Martini’s Restaurant is located on Broadway near Manitoba St. in Vancouver.
Strength: Amazing Deals on drink specials
Weakness: Limited parking
Front view with outdoor patio
The patio is right on broadway with limited sidewalk buffer. It can get noisy here, but the south-facing patio does provide a lot of sunlight.
Interior wood finish has an old fashioned atmosphere
When most people thinking about Martini’s, they think about drink specials. Martini’s is also a restaurant with amazing food, especially their whole-wheat pizza. It is filled with toppings. The interior space looks cozy with all the wood finishes from cedar wall siding to mahogany pony walls. There is an interesting yet modest centerpiece of a red “M” on one of the posts.
Exposed masonry wall with mirror
The wall tot he right is masonry walls with round mirrors as decoration. It gives the interior a rustic atmosphere.
Happy hour food special menu
The daily happy hour menu always offers an amazing deal. Not many bar-restaurant can beat this price.
Happy hour drinks special menu
The happy hour drinks are the cheapest I have seen. The $3 seasonal tap is close to what you get from the liquor store.
Craft Beer menu with Wednesday Special Deal
The biggest discount you can find here is the Wednesday Special. The 11oz glass is only $2.75, and a pitcher only cost $13. They offer many types of craft beer on tap as well. It is clearly labeled, even for the alcohol percentage.
Friendly waitress with good service
The server was on top of her game. She explained the types of craft beer to us to help us make decisions. During the whole time, she was energetic and kept her smile.
Back Country with Grapefruit flavour
The Back Country Brewery’s Trailbreaker Pale Ale has a cloudy golden body with a small white foamy top. It has a tropical fruit aroma to remind me of a grapefruit. It has a little hoppy bitterness, but not much malty notes. The very crisp finish gives this pale ale a refreshing taste.
Steamworks Heroica Red Ale
The Steamworks Heroica Red Ale has a medium amber-like body with a small white foamy top. It is a nice classic American amber ale. The red ale is a good meeting of malt and hop. There is also a hint of roasted hazelnut and toffee. There are decent bitterness and a little bit of citrus note. The texture is smooth with a little velvety in the mouth.
