Dim Sum at Lee Garden Seafood Restaurant in Burnaby

Lee Garden Seafood Restaurant is one of the more notable Cantonese seafood restaurants in Burnaby. Their biggest advantage is their large interior space able to accommodate many guests. It would be better for them to have a proper entrance and a larger parking space that is not shared with other restaurants. For $25 per person, they are quite expensive. The food tastes above average, but I did feel a little thirsty afterward. The best part of this restaurant is the superb service from one of the female managers. I would recommend this restaurant if they can replace the ragged tablecloth.

Kook Korean BBQ Restaurant in Vancouver East

Kook Korean BBQ Restaurant is one of the newer Korean BBQ places in Vancouver. Their strength is the premium ingredient quality and the service provided. It is not a down to earth restaurant like Wang Ga Ma in Coquitlam and the $33 per person price point definitely includes the cost of their decoration. I would recommend this place if the portion is larger. On my restaurant list, it is being categorized as a premium Korean restaurant in Vancouver East.

Bukjang (Bukchigo Jangguchigo) Korean Cuisine in Coquitlam

Bukjang is a small Korean restaurant. Tradition and authenticity can be observed throughout the store. The food was individually made to order and they are very tasty. We ordered 2 items and it cost us $20 per person so they are not exactly cheap. I think the atmosphere was set up for drinking, and that is what I am going to do on my next visit.

Miss Fu In Chengdu Franchise New Sichuan tapas and skewers in Richmond

We are used to seeing most franchise coming from Asia to have long line up for the first few months. I have seen many of these franchise fail to retain customers after a year. However, I have really high hope for Miss Fu In Chengdu to continue their successful business. Their food is really delectable and well made. There are complex flavour underneath the spiciness so their spiciness are not monotonous. Their food has really high standard, comparable to the ones I have tried in Chengdu years ago. I highly recommend this place if you are up for spicy food, and I think they are going to be around for a while.

Vij’s Indian Fine Dining Restaurant in Vancouver

Vij’s has been around for a couple of years. In the beginning, there was always line up outside the door. They allowed reservation a year after. I just show up at the door on my visit. It was 6:00 pm and there was no line-up. The food still tastes pretty good, but I do question some of the business decisions they have made. Overall, the curry at Vij’s has a lot more complex flavour profiles compared to your normal Indian buffet places. It does cost about $45 per person, and the tips on the credit card machine are set to 18% as a minimum. This pretty much triples any other Indian restaurants. It’s a good place for special occasion, but not recommended for daily visits.

Fortune Lamb Dining, Chinese Restaurant on Kingsway Vancouver

Fortune Lamb Dining serves authentic Northern Chinese cuisine for $30 per person. Their food taste good but the food is expensive. This restaurant used to taste even better, but the quality of their food decreased as they got busy over the years. I would still recommend this restaurant, however I would be careful on what to order.
