Delissio Crispy Pan Pizza
I feel like the thickness of the pan pizza mainly contributes to the fluffiness of the base, rather than filling me up. Perhaps the amount of ingredient is the same, and being fermented longer is the only difference between the deep pan pizza and normal ones. Maybe, the purpose of the pan is just to hold the airy dough to its shape. The Delissio’s Crispy Pan Pizza is quite enjoyable, however, the $7.99 price point is a bit too much for what we are getting in the box.
Delissio’s Crispy Pan Pizza is a frozen pizza found in many grocery stores. Different from traditional frozen pizza, this one is a Chicago-style deep pan pizza. The pizza comes with a tray that is meant to be put into the oven to bake. Everything is wrapped in a plastic bag in case the toppings fall from the pizza during transportation.
Strength: The pizza dough is very fluffy and instruction is clear.
Weakness: The topping layer is very thin, comparable to normal pizza.

Frozen Pizza that includes pan
Delissio tried to make it seem like them giving us a pan is a positive thing. However, we all know that the pan is there to hold the shape when they manufactured it, and it is simply easier to include it. I do have to say that the pan contributed to the crispiness of the crust when all the fat flowed between the dough and the pan.
Pizza comes in a plastic bag
The frozen pizza is fully wrapped in a plastic bag, and frozen. There were not many loose ingredients inside the bag, it wasn’t messy to prep this frozen pizza for the oven. It looks like there are a decent amount of toppings on the pizza. The meat lover is basically pepperoni pizza with added meatballs.
Cooking Instruction on the side
There is clear instruction on the side of the box for us to cook the pizza. It takes pre-heating the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The actual cooking time is between 23 to 25 minutes. We are also instructed to add 3 minutes to make it crispy.
Cooked Deep Pan Pizza
The pizza starts to release its savory aroma about 20 minutes into the oven. It was steaming hot when I took it out. I can see that the pizza was perfectly cooked when I followed the instructions carefully. When I took the pizza out of the pan, I realized that the pizza is actually shallower than I have perceived when It was in the box.
Fluffy dough, but not much toppings
We cut the pizza into 6 square pieces and start to enjoy it. The dough was very fluffy and soft, and the toppings salty enough to go with the thickened base. It was quite disappointing to see the topping so thin after cutting the pizza.
