We are at the Jazz Festival, David Lam Park today. Thai Box on Truck’s food truck was parked on Pacific Boulevard. I couldn’t resist it so went and got a plate of Shrimp Pad Thai. There is no better place to get authentic Thai street food other than from the street.
There are many options such as curry and basil’s chicken on rice, but we figured Pad Thai is most convenient for us to eat and enjoy Jazz at the same time. WHy
Why do we say the Pad Thai isn’t very well crafted? The Pad Thai is mixed with shallots, onions. They also put crushed peanuts, raw bean sprout, thinly sliced carrots with a slice of lemon on the side. I enjoyed the mixed texture of their Pad Thai. The noodle was not over cooked. I also enjoyed the taste of it. Perfect balance sweet and sour noodle with a bit of saltiness and hint bitterness.
604 Food Critic Assessment
The Pad Thai from Thai Box on Truck is the best tasting Pad Thai I’ve tried in a while. It cost $15 for shrimp or $12 for chicken meat. The portion is a little small for this price point. Do not expect to be full from just the Pad Thai if you are a teenager. However, the taste is totally worth it. As street food, this price and portion is completely justifiable.
