Daily Delicious is a new French-Asian Bakery in Richmond. They are famous for their Sea Salt Bread and Salty Egg Yolk Croissant. The bread and croissant are freshly baked every morning. Daily Delicious is a new bakery in Richmond near River Rock Casino at 110 – 2811 No 3 Rd, Richmond.
Daily Delicious’ illumination sign on the top shows “Bread & Coffee”. Their actual name is printed on the storefront glazing at a much smaller font. The busy background and reflection blends in with the store name which makes the store name really hard to see. It took me a while to find their store.
Daily Delicious is a grab & go type of bakery like Cobs Bread. There is no seat in the store. We can see many selections of baked goods but with limited quantity. Daily Delicious use paper bag so moisture don’t start forming and make the bread soggy.
Coffee & Tea Are Also Served Here
Sea Salt Bread
Daily Delicious’ sea salt bread is very buttery. The bread is sturdy to the bite. The of the bread takes a bit of effort to break off. This bread is nothing like those unnatural puffy baked goods you buy from most Cantonese bakery.
Internal air pockets indicate the bread is baked with added grease (probably butter) before mixing, then butter is rolled into the bread before baking. There is sea salt to give slight bursts of flavor when you find one. The bottom of the sea salt bread is brown and crisp from butter. These are the highlights of this bread.
Plain Croissant
There is a light layer of egg wash glazed over the exterior of all croissants. This gives the croissants crunchy texture and a more appetizing appearance. The outer layer of the croissant is flaky like an authentic French puff pastry.
After the crunchy outer layer, the croissant’s soft interior is very moist. The buttery dough melts in your mouth. We can see beautifully distributed air pockets in side.
Salted Egg Yolk Croissant
Salty Egg Yolk croissant has a bit of almond on top. The interior is filled with custards that have small bits of salty egg yolk. The interior is soft with evenly distributed air pockets no larger than 2 centimeters. What surprised me was that custard were filled almost right to the two edge of the croissant. The salty egg yolk croissant provides a very pleasant experience to eat.
Ham & Cheese Croissant
Ham & Cheese croissant is also crunchy on the outside. Ham & Cheese goes very well together. It is a little bit but harmonize with the buttery croissant around. With ham and cheese taking over some space in the middle, and the moisture from the filling. this croissant is obviously not as airy as the plain ones.
Sesame Croissant
The sesame croissant has no evidence of sesame on the outside. It is filled with sesame custards. The sesame taste is not very apparent. If I was eating this with my eyes closed, I wouldn’t know it’s sesame croissant.
There is a layer of icing sugar on top of the sesame croissant.
The interior has beautiful air pocket distribution. A lump of sesame filling is centralized in one location. It would be better if the sesame filling is more evenly distributed.
Almond Croissant

Daily Delicious make high quality baked goods. All the price is higher than your typical Chinese bakery, but it’s well worth your money. The sea salt bread provide an interesting eating experience well worth the $2 price point. Puff pastry croissant is comparable to the authentic ones I had in France. For that, I can justify this price point.
